โ As National Chengchi University (NCCU) approaches its 100th anniversary in 2027, we mark this yearโs 98th school anniversary with the release of "๐ต๐ช๐ช๐ผ ๐๐๐๐๐" - ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฐ:๐ป๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐. To mark the beginning of NCCUโs centennial celebration, we specially invited the NCCU Rugby Team to film a promotional video centered on the spirit of legacy and passing the torch across generations.
Several distinguished alumni from the NCCU Rugby Team โ including Fei-Peng Ho, CEO of Citeฬ Media Group (Public Administration), Herman Hunag, former Chairman of the ROC Rugby Association (Economics), Wei-Wen Bai, Secretary-General of the ROC Rugby Association (Political Science), Wendell Huang, CFO of TSMC (Statistics), Winston Shen, CEO of The Hotel Royal Group (Arabic Language and Culure), Ching-Hsiung Lu, Director at Fo Guang University (East Asian Languages), and Eric Chen, General Manager of Enjoy Music (Sociology, EMBA) โ set aside their busy schedules to return to their alma mater.
"If you're on the field, you're already a winner," said alumnus Ho Fei-Peng, donning the symbolic yellow shorts for players over 70 years old. With undiminished energy, he dove for a try to the sound of cheers and applause. Those in red shorts, representing players in their 60s, once ruled the universityโs rugby grounds โ and now, though they lead in different spheres, they return with passion to celebrate NCCUโs birthday.
The film also features heartfelt conversations between four senior students and their rugby seniors โ on life choices, uncertainty, and the unwavering love for NCCU and the rugby team. The alumni, in turn, shared their stories of mentorship, perseverance, and how the resilient spirit of โAffection, Integrity, and Excellenceโ must be passed on.
Each era brings forth new chapters written by NCCUโs people. As we approach a centennial milestone, we pass the torch with youth, carry our legacy forward in light, and continue crafting a radiant century to come.
